Job summary

Uncommon Orthodontics in Missouri is seeking a dependable Sterilization Technician to join our orthodontic team. This role is essential to keeping the office running safely by ensuring instruments, treatment areas, and clinical supplies are properly cleaned, sterilized, and ready for patient care.

The ideal candidate will train on-site, be able to stand for long periods, and travel between the Joplin and Nevada clinics as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, package, sterilize, and properly store dental instruments.
• Follow OSHA, CDC, infection-control, and office safety standards.
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Complete required sterilization logs, testing, and documentation.
• Prepare instrument setups and supplies for scheduled procedures.
• Turn over and disinfect treatment chairs and clinical areas between patients.
• Monitor sterilization supplies and communicate restocking needs.
• Keep the sterilization area clean, organized, and fully functional.
• Assist with laundry, supply organization, and general clinical support.
• Help maintain smooth patient flow by anticipating the clinical team’s needs.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and follow all office protocols.
• Support orthodontic assistants and other team members as needed.
• Travel between the Joplin and Nevada, MO clinics will be required.
