RACHEL H THIEBERG DDS MS PA in Wylie, TX seeks an experienced Orthodontic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join a fast-paced team. The role focuses on chairside support, digital workflows, and delivering excellent patient care.

Start times vary; schedule is Monday–Friday with stable hours. The ideal candidate brings at least 1 year of orthodontic chairside experience, proficiency with iTero scanning, and a commitment to precise records, safety, and patient education.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of orthodontic chairside experience.
Experience with digital scanning and orthodontic workflows.
Experience with or willingness to learn in-house printing and fabrication processes.
Familiarity with dental software and electronic patient records.
Current Texas RDA certification.

Responsibilities

Provide chairside orthodontic assisting, including bracket adjustments and appliance delivery.
Perform retainer bonding and delivery (RPE, Herbst).
Take panoramic and cephalometric X-rays and intraoral photographs.
Prepare patients for treatment and explain appliance/retainer care.
Conduct digital scans for appliances and aligners (iTero).
Assist with in-house printing and fabrication of retainers (Essix, Hawley).
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Follow sterilization, infection control, and safety protocols.
Support efficient patient flow and daily clinical operations.
