Job summary

Salt Dental Partners is seeking an orthodontic assistant to join a collaborative, patient-centered team in Boise. You will greet patients, assist during visits, and help with radiographs, impressions, and records while maintaining sterile, efficient operations.

The ideal candidate has an active license, 6+ months in orthodontic settings, and strong communication and organizational skills. CODA training is preferred, with growth opportunities and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Active license/registration to practice as a dental assistant as required by your state.
• 6+ months of orthodontic assistant experience.
• CODA accredited dental assisting program completion preferred.
• Proficiency fitting bands and brackets, tying arch wires, and taking impressions.
• Punctual, professional, and a strong team player.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized with strong knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greet and support patients before, during, and after their appointment.
• Take and process dental radiographs, impressions, and intraoral photos.
• Prepare and sterilize the treatment room and equipment.
• Document orthodontic care by charting patient records.
• Assist the orthodontist in assessing patients and implementing treatment plans.
• Perform routine orthodontic duties, including adjusting orthodontic gear.
