Job summary

Weaver and Stratton Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics is seeking an experienced Orthodontic Dental Assistant for a Floater role across two pediatric offices in Florida. You will rotate between locations, support orthodontists, and help maintain fast-paced, child-friendly workflows.

The role requires flexibility to travel between Julington Creek and Orange Park, with full-time hours and a schedule of 7:15 AM–5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. Competitive pay and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Orthodontic dental assisting experience preferred, not required.
• Experience in pediatric or high-volume dental settings preferred.
• Current radiology certification; orthodontic assisting certification preferred.
• Professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work across both office locations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operatories and ensure the sterilization of instruments
• Assist with orthodontic procedures including bonding, banding, wire changes, separators, and retainer delivery
• Take diagnostic records: X-rays, impressions, and iTero scans
• Accurately document treatment and patient progress
• Provide appliance care instructions to patients and families
• Support orthodontists and the clinical team to maintain efficient workflow
