Schedule for the Orthodontic Assistant

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM

• Wednesday & Friday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

• Saturday: 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM (once per month)

Requirements and Responsibilities of the Orthodontic Assistant

• At least 1 year of orthodontic assisting experience

• Treatment coordinating experience is strongly preferred but is not required

• Record and maintain orthodontic photos, CBCT, and intraoral scanning files

• Place separators and bandings

• Assist the doctors in bondings for labial and lingual brackets

• Change and tie/untie archwires

• Make adjustments to c-chain, stainless steel ties, k-hooks

• Work with SureSmile wires and distalizing archwires

• Submit cases for SureSmile wires and aligners

• Deliver appliances and do impressions for appliances

• Carry out laboratory work such as pouring models and making essix retainers
