Schedule for the Orthodontic Assistant
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Wednesday & Friday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Saturday: 7:30 AM - 12:00 PM (once per month)
Requirements and Responsibilities of the Orthodontic Assistant
At least 1 year of orthodontic assisting experience
Treatment coordinating experience is strongly preferred but is not required
Record and maintain orthodontic photos, CBCT, and intraoral scanning files
Place separators and bandings
Assist the doctors in bondings for labial and lingual brackets
Change and tie/untie archwires
Make adjustments to c-chain, stainless steel ties, k-hooks
Work with SureSmile wires and distalizing archwires
Submit cases for SureSmile wires and aligners
Deliver appliances and do impressions for appliances
Carry out laboratory work such as pouring models and making essix retainers
