Job summary

Premier Care Dental Management in Port Washington operates Little Smiles of Port Washington and is seeking an orthodontic dental assistant to join our modern practice. You will support the dentist, take digital radiographs, and help maintain a welcoming patient experience.

Qualifications

• Orthodontic dental assisting experience required.
• State license/certification to perform duties as required by NY.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients with a smile and ensure comfort throughout visits.
• Support the Dentist with various procedures.
• Take digital radiographs and intra-oral scans as prescribed.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments; maintain infection control.
• Sanitize operatories and prep rooms for treatments.
• Follow OSHA and safety policies for a safe environment.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene as needed.
• Handle diverse office tasks to support operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Welcoming patients with a smile, making them feel comfortable and confident throughout their visit.
• Support the Dentist with various procedures.
• Taking digital radiographs and intra-oral scans as prescribed
• Ensure strict infection control by meticulously preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
• Sanitizing and prepping operatories for respective treatments.
• Adhere to OSHA and safety policies, prioritizing a secure and healthy environment.
• Educate patients on effective oral hygiene strategies as needed
• Undertake diverse office tasks as needed for seamless practice operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior orthodontic dental assisting experience required.
• Any certification/license as required by the state to perform specified duties.
• A resume showcasing a consistent and stable employment history.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, delivering exceptional patient experiences.

New York Salary Range: $28/HR - $34/HR (based on experience and license status)
