Job summary

Grubaugh Orthodontics, Powered by Smile Doctors in DeWitt and Lansing, MI, seeks an Orthodontic Clinician I to deliver a positive clinical experience under the supervision of an Orthodontist. Dental experience is preferred but not required; we are dedicated to training the right candidate and supporting growth.

You’ll place and remove appliances, bond brackets, review charts, and assist with laboratory procedures while maintaining infection-control protocols and participating in remote

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Dental assisting experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to build rapport with patients and maintain good working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Places and removes orthodontic appliances and takes full records under general supervision of the Orthodontist.
• Performs bonding, placing, and expert positioning of brackets.
• Reviews patient charts and transcribes doctor notes; manages patient data.
• Performs laboratory procedures under supervision of an Orthodontist.
• Leads patient flow and final checks, supports remote monitoring and triages patient scans.

Looking for a career that makes you smile? Grubaugh Orthodontics, Powered by Smile Doctors is seeking an Orthodontic Clinician I to join our growing team in DeWitt and Lansing, MI! Responsible for delivering positive clinical experience to all patients while following strict adherence to company policies as well state dental laws, rules and regulations under the general direction and supervision of an Orthodontist. Dental experience preferred, although not required. We're dedicated to training the right candidate!

How you’ll make us better:

• Places and removes orthodontic appliances and takes full records under general supervision of the Orthodontist
• Performs bonding, placing, and expert positioning of brackets
• Reviews patient charts, logs appropriate patient data and transcribes doctor notes
• Performs laboratory procedures under limited supervision of an Orthodontist
• Performs final checks on patients and leads patient flow
• Manages the remote monitoring dashboard including review/triage patient scans, responds to direct patient messages, and triages notifications
• Educates patients on orthodontic care and remote monitoring
• Cleans, sterilizes, and prepares the equipment and operatory following standard protocols
• Assists in Local Store Marketing and community events
• Adheres to all infection-control policies and protocols
