Job summary

Legacy Orthodontics in Roanoke and Salem, VA is hiring a Full-Time Clinical Assistant to join a dynamic orthodontic team. You will deliver exceptional patient care, assist chair-side, take and develop X-rays, and help prepare treatment plans.

The ideal candidate has dental or orthodontic experience, X-ray certification, strong communication and teamwork, and a positive attitude. This role supports both Roanoke and Salem locations with a Monday-Thursday schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous dental or orthodontic assisting experience.
• X-ray certification (state requirements).
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work in Roanoke and Salem locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional care to our patients, prioritizing comfort and health.
• Prepare patients for examination and treatment with meticulous care.
• Take and develop X-rays to ensure top-quality diagnostic imagery.
• Capture quality orthodontic facial photos for treatment planning.
• Prepare trays for orthodontic procedures with precision.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Keep chairs and treatment rooms immaculate, adhering to COVID-19 requirements.
• Show eagerness to learn or apply your experience in orthodontic chair-side assisting.
• Pour and trim impression casts for appliances with accuracy.
• Adhere to safety protocols by wearing the proper protective gear.

Experience & Certification

• 1 yearas a Dental Assistant or Orthodontic Assistant (Preferred).
