Job summary

Westrock Orthodontics is seeking a dedicated Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. You will assist the Orthodontist, prepare operatories, and help manage the workflow to provide exceptional patient care.

This role involves performing orthodontic procedures under direct supervision and educating patients about treatment plans and appliance care. The ideal candidate has dental or orthodontic assisting experience and familiarity with orthodontic appliances.

Qualifications

• Experience in dental or orthodontic assisting is required.
• Familiarity with orthodontic appliances, procedures and terminology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Orthodontist during exams and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and smooth procedures.
• Prepare operatories, sterilize equipment, and support workflows to maximize efficiency.
• Perform orthodontic procedures such as placing/removing wires, coil springs, bands, and retainers under supervision.
• Conduct digital scans and assist in fabricating customized appliances and retainers.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, oral hygiene and appliance care to ensure informed decisions.
• Record treatment notes accurately and communicate with the team to deliver high-quality care.
