Job summary

Siri C Steinle DMD PC in Brockton, MA is seeking a motivated Orthodontic Assistant to join our practice. This is a patient-focused role where your chairside support and caring attitude help create confident smiles.

You will assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures, place and remove brackets and wires, take X-rays and impressions, educate families, and maintain a clean, organized treatment area. Hours are 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, with one paid lunch.

Qualifications

• Prior orthodontic assisting experience required.
• Dental Assistant Certification (Massachusetts) required.
• Familiarity with orthodontic procedures, terminology and equipment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, patient-friendly chairside manner.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent patient care.
• Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist chairside during patient examinations and orthodontic procedures.
• Place and remove orthodontic brackets, bands, wires, and other appliances under doctor supervision.
• Take and process dental X-rays, photographs, and impressions/digital scans.
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment progress.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized treatment area.
• Update and maintain accurate patient records and treatment charts.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and support front office coordination as needed.
