Job summary

Superior Orthodontics is seeking a qualified and caring Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. You will assist the orthodontist during procedures, prepare treatment areas, and help manage patient comfort and flow.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, previous dental/orthodontic experience, strong communication and teamwork, and excellent attention to detail. Travel to Eastpointe and Southfield locations as needed and participation in training sessions is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous dental/orthodontic office experience preferred (2 years experience).
• Strong work ethic and reliability; intrinsic motivation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; teamwork oriented.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during procedures (bonding, adjustments, appliance placement/removal).
• Prepare treatment areas; sterilize and disinfect instruments and surfaces.
• Take diagnostic records (digital X-rays, photos, impressions).
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care.
• Maintain accurate patient records in practice software; ensure HIPAA compliance.
