Job summary

Uncommon Orthodontics is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to support the orthodontist and care for patients across our Joplin, MO and Nevada, MO locations. You will prepare operatory, assist during examinations and ortho treatment, and help maintain a welcoming, high-quality patient experience.

Strong communication and a customer-focused attitude are essential. Experience with orthodontic procedures is a plus; training will be provided. Travel between clinics is required.

Qualifications

• Dental assisting background is helpful but not mandatory.
• Orthodontic assisting experience extremely helpful.
• Familiarity with orthodontic appliances welcome.

Responsibilities

• Communicate treatment needs to parent and patient per treatment plan.
• Identify and manage prior authorization requirements and signed consent forms.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Document treatment rendered in dental records (electronic and paper).
• Perform general housekeeping and restocking as needed.
• Travel between the Joplin and Nevada, MO clinics.
