Role: Orthodontic Assistant

Full-Time

At Vincent Team Orthodontics, we believe that creating beautiful smiles begins with a supportive and dynamic team. Located in the heart of Sandy, Utah, our office has been proudly serving the community since 2005. Led by Dr. Scott Vincent, our practice is dedicated to providing top-quality orthodontic care in a welcoming and fun environment.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Help maintain patient flow by seating patients promptly and beginning procedures.
  2. Place separators, elastic chains, and wires.
  3. Prepare teeth for bonding of braces and Invisalign attachments.
  4. Scale cement and check patients for loose brackets or bonds. Monitor oral hygiene, instruct on proper brushing techniques.
  5. Deliver all instruments to sterilization for processing.
  6. Keep drawers stocked, clean, and replenished.
  7. Debrief patients and parents after appointments.
  8. Take X-rays, CBCT scans, iTero scans, and impressions.
  9. Chart notes for patients seen, schedule next appointments, and plan follow-ups.
  10. Answer questions from parents regarding treatment.
  11. Assist the Orthodontist during procedures.
  12. Anticipate the doctor's needs during appointments and act accordingly.
  13. Clean the chair and move around the clinic efficiently.
  14. Perform back-up sterilization duties.
  15. Complete daily and monthly side tasks as assigned by the Clinic Coordinator.
  16. Attend staff meetings and daily huddles.
  17. Follow established office policies and procedures.
  18. Represent the practice positively inside and outside the office.
