Job summary

Family Orthodontics is seeking an experienced Orthodontic Assistant to join our busy, fast-paced practice. The role will travel between our Smyrna and Union City locations, providing chair-side support and patient care.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of hands-on orthodontic assisting experience, is comfortable traveling between locations, and can work efficiently in a high-volume setting. Travel pay is provided and teamwork is emphasized.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assisting the orthodontist with bonding and debonding procedures.
• Placing and removing orthodontic wires and elastics.
• Taking impressions and/or digital scans; taking X-rays and photographs.
• Sterilizing instruments and maintaining treatment areas; chart documentation.
• Provide instructions for elastics, retainers, and appliances.

Traveling Orthodontic Assistant

Family Orthodontics - Smyrna & Union City, GA

Family Orthodontics is seeking an experienced Orthodontic Assistant to join our busy, fast-paced practice. This position will travel between our Smyrna and Union City locations.

Schedule:

4 days per week | 7:15 AM-4:30 PM

Travel pay provided

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on orthodontic assisting experience required.


• Internship/externship experience does not count toward the one-year requirement.


• Must be comfortable traveling between Smyrna and Union City.


• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume practice.


• Dependable, energetic, and team-oriented.

Must Have Experience

• Assisting with bonding and debonding procedures.


• Placing and removing orthodontic wires.


• Changing archwires, elastics, and power chains.


• Placing orthodontic separators.


• Taking impressions and/or digital scans.


• Taking orthodontic X-rays and photographs.


• Preparing patients for orthodontic procedures.


• Providing instructions for elastics, retainers, and orthodontic appliances.


• Performing orthodontic records and chart documentation.


• Sterilizing instruments and maintaining treatment areas.


• Assisting the orthodontist with other clinical procedures as needed.
