Gorman & Bunch Orthodontics seeks an Orthodontic Assistant to support the doctor's team with patient care, documentation, and chairside assistance. You will help with appliance placement, take X-rays and photos, and ensure charts are accurate and up-to-date.

The role emphasizes a friendly, professional demeanor, adherence to safety and confidentiality, and ongoing collaboration with clinicians to deliver high-quality orthodontic care to patients in Kokomo, Indiana.

Responsabilidades

• Chairside assistance during patient care and appliance placement/removal.
• Take X-Rays and photographs, fabricate retainers as needed.
• Maintain patient charts and accurately transcribe doctor notes.
• Keep rooms stocked, organized, clean, sterilized, and equipment prepared.
• Be coachable and receptive to training from doctors.
• Perform other duties as required.

The Orthodontic Assistant is a pivotal role to Gorman and Bunch Orthodontics and serves as the primary supporting person to our doctor team. This role will assist with various activities in working with the doctors and patients alike and will strive to be a positive, friendly, and professional addition to the team.

• Establish a trusting rapport with patients, ensuring the highest level of patient customer service is given to all patients
• Educate the patients on orthodontic care and treatment practices
• Work chairsidewithpatient care including assisting in placing and removing orthodontic appliances
• Taking X-Rays, pictures, fabricating retainers
• Maintain patients' charts and transcribe the doctor notes accurately
• Keep patient roomsstocked and organized as well as clean, sterilize, and prepare the equipment
• Be receptive to coaching and training from doctors to better develop skillset
• Other duties as required

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• 1-3 Years Relative Experience
