Job summary

Westrock Orthodontics is seeking a compassionate Orthodontic Assistant to join our Travel Team. You will work across the Hot Springs clinic and Leap Kids Dental in Texarkana, supporting orthodontists with chairside care, impressions, and appliance management.

You will educate patients, maintain records, and help ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for every patient. A strong dental/orthodontic background and travel flexibility are essential to thrive in this fast-paced role.

Qualifications

• Experience in dental or orthodontic assisting (orthodontic experience preferred).
• Strong familiarity with orthodontic appliances and clinical terminology.
• Willingness to travel and work across two clinics.
• Excellent interpersonal communication with patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists chairside during exams and treatments.
• Perform expanded clinical functions under supervision (archwires, retainers, appliances).
• Utilize 3D digital scanners for impressions and fabrication support.
• Educate patients on treatment journeys and appliance care.
• Prepare treatment suites, sterilize instruments, and ensure smooth workflows.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes for continuity of care.

How You’ll Make an Impact

As a key partner to our Orthodontists, you will deliver seamless clinical care while creating a welcoming, positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors.

• Clinical Excellence & Doctor Support: Work chairside alongside the Orthodontist during comprehensive exams and advanced orthodontic treatments, ensuring seamless appointment flow and maximum patient comfort.

• Hands-On Technical Care: Precision-execute expanded clinical functions under direct doctor supervision, including the placement and removal of archwires, coil springs, bands, retainers, and attachments.

• Digital Innovation: Utilize cutting-edge 3D digital scanners to take high-precision impressions and assist in the fabrication of custom appliances and aligners.

• Patient Empowerment & Education: Serve as an educator and advocate for our patients—guiding them through their treatment journeys, explaining proper oral hygiene, and troubleshooting appliance care so they leave every appointment feeling informed and inspired.

• Operatory & Workflow Management: Prepare state-of-the-art treatment suites, meticulously sterilize instruments adhering to strict safety protocols, and maintain smooth clinical room turnarounds.

• Precision Documentation: Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely patient records and treatment notes to guarantee continuity of care.
