Job summary

Lustig & Young Orthodontics (LYO) is seeking an experienced Orthodontic Assistant to join our team and provide hands-on patient care across four locations in the Fort Worth area. This full-time role requires the ability to travel between offices based on the practice schedule and to support busy days with efficient clinical workflow.

Ideal candidates have orthodontic assisting experience, an active RDA credential or eligibility, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Must be an RDA with active credential or eligible for registration.
• Experience with bonding, debonding, wires, impressions and Invisalign attachments.
• Previous orthodontic assisting experience required.
• Reliable transportation and willing to travel between four locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists with bonding, debonding, adjustments and other clinical procedures.
• Take patient X-rays, photographs, impressions, and digital scans.
• Prepare patients, instruments, and treatment areas for appointments.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliances, aligners, and treatment instructions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Follow sterilization and infection prevention protocols.
• Support patient care and daily clinical operations across locations.

Orthodontic Assistant – Full-Time

Lustig & Young Orthodontics (LYO) is seeking an experienced Orthodontic Assistant to join our team! If you enjoy hands‑on patient care, work well in a busy practice, and take pride in helping patients feel comfortable and confident throughout treatment, we’d love to meet you.

This full‑time position supports all four LYO locations. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between offices based on the practice schedule are required.

What You’ll Do

• Assist orthodontists with bonding, debonding, adjustments, and other clinical procedures.
• Perform permitted orthodontic assisting duties, including wire changes, appliance support, and Invisalign attachments, as authorized by your credentials and applicable requirements.
• Take patient X-rays, photographs, impressions, and digital scans.
• Prepare patients, instruments, and treatment areas for appointments.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliances, aligners, and treatment instructions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Follow sterilization and infection prevention protocols.
• Support patient care and daily clinical operations across all four locations.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous orthodontic assisting experience required.
• Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential or ability to meet applicable registration and certification requirements.
• Hands‑on experience with bonding, debonding, wire changes, rapid palatal expanders (RPEs), impressions or digital scans, X-rays, and Invisalign attachments.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to all four LYO locations.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
• A dependable, collaborative approach and commitment to excellent patient care.
• Ability to stay organized and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
