Base pay range

$30.00/hr - $33.00/hr

Job Title: Licensed Orthodontic Dental Assistant

Location: Albany Area, NY (Rotating between five locations)

Pay: $30 - $33 per hour (+ Sign-On Bonus up to $15K)

Addison Group is hiring on behalf of a well-established orthodontic practice in the Albany, NY area. This is a high-volume, patient-centered practice known for providing top-tier orthodontic care in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our client’s team. This is a direct-hire opportunity with great benefits, competitive pay, and room for growth. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing technical orthodontic procedures and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform orthodontic procedures such as placing wires and brackets
  • Prepare treatment areas and gather necessary instruments for procedures
  • Educate patients and families on orthodontic care, hygiene, and dietary guidelines
  • Take and order X-rays to assist in treatment planning
  • Ensure patient comfort and provide outstanding chairside assistance
  • Collaborate with orthodontists and clinic staff to ensure seamless patient care

Qualifications:

  • Licensed or certified Dental Assistant (or ability to obtain licensure within one year)
  • Recent graduates with certification/licensure encouraged to apply
  • Strong patient-first mentality with excellent bedside manner
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience in orthodontics is a plus, but not required

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:55 AM – 5:00 PM

Rotating Locations: Albany, Delmar, Latham, East Greenbush, and Clifton Park (never more than one location per day)

Start Date: ASAP (within two weeks of offer)
