Houston Orthodontic Specialists - Central is hiring an Orthodontic Assistant / Dental Assistant to join our growing orthodontic practice in Texas. This full-time position focuses on chairside assistance, patient education, and thriving in a fast-paced orthodontic setting.

Responsibilities include assisting during procedures, taking X-rays and photos, and maintaining sterility and patient records. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of experience and preferred RDA/CDA certification.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of Dental Assistant or Orthodontic Assistant experience preferred.
• RDA or CDA certification preferred.
• Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented mindset is expected.

• Assist orthodontists chairside during procedures.
• Place, adjust, and remove braces, brackets, and bands per direction.
• Take X-rays, scans, impressions, and patient progress photos.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and braces aftercare.
• Maintain accurate patient records in EMR.
• Coordinate with clinical and front office teams; cross-train as needed.

We are hiring an Orthodontic Assistant / Dental Assistant to join our growing orthodontic practice. This is a full-time dental assisting position ideal for someone who enjoys chairside assisting, patient education, and working in a fast-paced orthodontic environment.

What You’ll Do

• Assist orthodontists chairside during procedures
• Place, adjust, and remove braces, brackets, and bands (as directed)
• Take X-rays, scans, impressions, and patient progress photos
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and braces aftercare
• Maintain accurate patient records in EMR
• Coordinate with clinical and front office teams; cross-train as needed

Requirements

What We’re Looking For
