Texas Health Fort Worth is seeking a Part-Time Nights Patient Care Tech (PCT) for Ortho Trauma to support patient care plans and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.

The role requires a high school diploma, CLIA/FE compliance for foreign education equivalency, and PCT/EMT-related training. BCLS and CPI training are required; strong interview and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CLIA/FE compliance with foreign education equivalency required.
• PCT training program TX CNA, NHA, NAHP, NCCT, THR-approved program. Not required to maintain certification after hire.
• EMT training or military medical training equivalent (EMT-B).
• E.g. Nursing student who has completed fundamentals or foreign nurse degree program.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention training maintained annually (90 days).
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and assistance based on the plan of care and patient/family preferences.
• Collects and reports patient data, supports admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Performs technical procedures safely and documents care accurately.
• Collaborates with nurses to adapt care for diverse populations and cultural needs.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and proactively meets patient and visitor needs.
• Demonstrates teamwork, flexibility, and effective communication across disciplines.
• Participates in process improvement, adheres to safety goals, and advocates for patients.
