Job summary

Capital Medical is seeking an experienced Orthopedic RNFA to support surgical teams in Tallahassee, FL. The role includes preparing the OR, assisting in procedures, and ensuring sterile technique and patient safety.

Florida RN licensure and completion of an RNFA program are required. The position focuses on teamwork with surgeons and nurses, maintaining confidentiality, and providing high-quality care in a fast-paced orthopedic setting.

Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Florida RN licensure.
• Completion of an accredited RN First Assist program.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile technique.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by selecting and opening sterile supplies.
• Assist in preoperative duties including assembling, adjusting, and checking equipment.
• Prepare patients for surgery by providing emotional support, checking charts, and observing vital signs.
• Assist in gowning and gloving and prepare sterile setup for procedures.
• Pass instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery.
• Support postoperative recovery as needed and monitor patients for stability.
