Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process. The role requires accountability for patient care, coordination with other departments, and safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality, aligned with Mercy's mission and Service Standards.

Education must include an RN program completion and licensure in the hiring state or a compact state, with BLS certification within 30 days of hire and various nursing certifications as required by unit.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure; must meet state board requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs duties consistent with Mercy mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
