Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking an experienced LPN to join the Orthopaedics/Spine unit. You will perform licensed practical nurse duties, contribute to care plans, administer medications safely, document care, and assist with procedures and training.

The position is part-time on day shifts (7a–7p) with two shifts per week and is located in Norman, OK. Applicants must have a vocational nursing program, Oklahoma LPN license, and BLS certification, with hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

Completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse.
Current Oklahoma State LPN License.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required during orientation and maintained throughout employment.
Prefer previous hospital experience; stable employment history preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs duties of a licensed practical nurse as prescribed by the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act.
Contributes to the development of a plan of care and follows through with such plan for selected patients.
Administers medication with a high degree of safety and accuracy.
Documents nursing care and activities.
Assists with patient care and monitors patients during procedures.
Assists the departmental assistant with clinical matters.
Maintains the exam/treatment rooms and work environment.
Assists with the training of other staff.
