Job summary

Mercy is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 22-bed post-surgical unit (3 North) with a focus on orthopedics, spine, bariatric, and urology services. The RN will use the nursing process to deliver safe, patient-centered care and will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery.

Qualified candidates will have graduated from an approved nursing program and hold an active RN license in the hiring state or a compact licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing (AD, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in hiring state or valid compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Evaluate care effectiveness of direct caregivers and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Uphold patient rights, maintain confidentiality, and align with Mercy mission and standards.
