UVA Community Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist for the 8a-5p, full-time day shift. The role emphasizes preparing patients, operating x-ray equipment, and obtaining diagnostic images with attention to patient safety and comfort.

The incumbent should have ARRT eligibility or certification within 12 months, plus a high school diploma or GED and a radiology program credential. State licensure as required is also needed.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited Radiology program.
• 2 years of diagnostic radiology experience preferred.
• ARRT or registry eligible; must complete ARRT certification in Radiology within 12 months of hire.
• Applicable state licensure as required.
• Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment and safety protocols.

Mansioni

• Assist physicians in diagnostic/therapeutic procedures and operate x-ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Prepare patients for procedures and ensure comfort and safety.
• Maintain radiology equipment and supplies; follow safety protocols and infection control.
• Explain procedures and post-procedure orders to patients to gain cooperation.
