Job summary

Wellstar MCG Health in Georgia is seeking a Physical Therapy Resident (PTR) to complete a twelve‑month postgraduate program. The PTR provides direct patient care under supervision and participates in mentoring, didactic education, and clinical opportunities.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, supervising rehabilitation technicians and students, and supporting department productivity and post‑discharge follow‑up.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy required.
• All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
• Must be enrolled in PT Doctorate program.

Responsibilities

• Patient Treatment - Implements treatment plan utilizing current theory and practice; works towards established goals; modifies goals and treatment plan as necessary and indicated.
• Patient Assessment - Performs functions related to patient evaluation/re-evaluation, goal setting, and discharge planning according to department policy and procedures.
• Education - The incumbent will provide a positive learning environment for observers, volunteers, students, and co-workers.
• Productivity - Meets departmental productivity standards and documents productivity in a timely manner.
