Job summary

Lees Summit Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our orthopedics team. You will assist RNs with daily patient needs, monitor conditions, and help maintain a safe, compassionate environment for recovery.

Responsibilities include aiding with mobility, dressing changes, skin protection, and ensuring clean, well-stocked patient areas. CNA credential within 60 days and BCLS within 30 days are required.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date.
• CNA or equivalent credential within 60 days of start date.
• No travel required; no prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
