Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Staff Nurse to deliver patient-centered care within the healthcare system. The role requires Ortho experience and a strong commitment to ethical, evidence-based practice in a fast-paced setting.

The Staff Nurse will assess patients, develop plans, coordinate with the care team, and provide education to patients and families. Sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered, with regulations about eligibility noted in the posting.

Qualificações

• BSN required and Illinois RN license.
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS/ENPC & TNCC within one year of hire.
• ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within three years of first day of clinical nurse role.

Responsabilidades

• Assess and record patient status and care needs on admission.
• Organize health data for accurate, complete, and accessible records.
• Identify problems needing immediate attention.
• Validate diagnoses with patient/family and health care team.
• Document diagnoses to support outcomes and plan of care.
• Initiate discharge planning at admission and involve family.
• Provide patient/family education grounded in evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with patient/family and health care team during care planning.
• Communicate with team re: patient care and nurse's role.
• Present relevant patient information at multidisciplinary meetings.
