Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Connecticut is seeking an Orthopedic Tech Nursing Assistant to support physicians and provide compassionate patient care during a 12-hour night shift.

You will collect and report patient data, assist with daily living activities, transport patients, collect specimens, and ensure supplies reach patient rooms. The role requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and nursing aide experience; offers career growth with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• Nurse aide background with ortho experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Collect and report patient information and data.
• Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation.
• Patient Transport
• Collection of specimens
• Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms
• Deliver ice and beverages to patients
• As assigned, stays with at-risk patients to monitor patient safety.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

BLS certification

Nurse Aide Training Program (CT approved) preferred or in process

BA in Nursing or Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed

Significant healthcare related experience
