Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking an Ortho Med Surg Registered Nurse who is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will assess patients on admission and each shift, administer medications, document care, and educate patients and families about conditions and treatments while collaborating with the care team to ensure positive clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Nurse license
• Associate degree in nursing or related field

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and document care administration in the medical record.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, anticipating patient needs and resolving them.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring understanding.
