Job summary

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital in Panama City, FL is seeking a Medical-Surgical RN for Orthopedics. You will perform clinical assessments, coordinate care with a collaborative team and support patients and families during their stay.

Ideal candidates hold a Florida RN license with BLS certification, and a Nursing Diploma/ASN (BSN preferred). A minimum of 1 year in acute care is preferred, with NIH Stroke Scale completion within 30 days of starting.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license or approved multistate license.
• BLS-AHA Provider card required within 30 days of start.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
• 1 year of RN experience in an Acute Care environment preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Analyze the assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issues.
• Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situation.
• Act as an advocate for patient safety.
• Educate patients regarding their medications, procedures, and treatments, providing support throughout their stay.
