Job summary

WorkWave Staff is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract position in the Medical-Surgical/Orthopedic Unit at a Level I Trauma Teaching Hospital in Morgantown, WV. The ideal candidate will provide patient-centered care and collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, medication administration, pain management, and educating patients and families. Candidates should possess an active RN license and have at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in any U.S. state.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical, Orthopedic, Trauma, or Acute Care nursing experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a Level I Trauma Center or Teaching Hospital is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult orthopedic and medical-surgical patients.
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and traumatic injuries.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
