Job summary

Saint Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit, MO, is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Medical Surgical - Ortho unit. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, applying the nursing process, and providing patient education and coordination of care.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Associate Degree in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Function independently and accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
• Coordinate the care for a group of patients with the Multidisciplinary Team.
• Delegate tasks appropriately.
• Identify hospital resources.
• Serve as a clinical resource for new employees.
• Help with electronic oversight.
• Assist the primary nurse in chart review, patient education, and coordination of care.
• Help with delegated communications with care team and families.
