Job summary

The Smilist is seeking a reliable Dental Assistant (Ortho) to join our growing practice in Brick, NJ and nearby locations. You will support orthodontic procedures, maintain a clean, organized operatory, and coordinate patient flow with the front desk.

Applicants should have at least 1 year as a Dental Assistant, orthodontic experience, and an NJ x-ray license. RDA is a plus; Dentrix experience is preferred. Join a team that values care, collaboration, and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with at least 1 year.
• Prior orthodontic experience.
• NJ x-ray license required.
• RDA preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment and address concerns.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and assist doctors to deliver quality care.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supplies in each operatory.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
