Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Charge Nurse (RN) for Orthopedics to lead nursing care on days. This full-time role requires a Florida RN license, BLS, ACLS/NRP/PALS/CPI certifications within set timeframes, and 1–3 years of supervisory experience in acute care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current Florida nursing license.
• BLS certification at hire.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, CPI certifications within specified timeframes.
• Minimum one year full-time or three years part-time experience in acute care.
• One to three years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assumes shift responsibility and direct/indirect nursing care to patients and families.
• Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members to achieve safe, optimal health outcomes.
