Job summary

Advocate Health's outpatient Orthopedics clinic at 37400 Davie Medical Center in North Carolina is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. You will prepare patients, take vital signs, assist with procedures, and support physicians during exams and surgeries. This full-time position offers a 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.

to 5 p.m. with a rotating 5-hour Saturday shift for Orthopedic Urgent Care approximately every 6-8 weeks.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state.
• Completion of an accredited LPN program.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 45 days unless exempt by department leadership.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting health information.
• Performs basic lab procedures using aseptic technique and standard precautions.
• Assists physicians with procedures and surgeries in the Orthopedics setting.
• Administers medications under orders, including vaccines and IV therapies within scope.
• Maintains clean and stocked examination rooms and equipment; supports patient education.
