Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Orthopedics department at the 37400 Davie Medical Center. This full-time role offers a 40-hour work week, Mon-Fri, 8a-5p, with a 5-hour Saturday rotation approximately every 6-8 weeks, and no weekend or holiday shifts.

Salary ranges from $24.10 to $36.15 per hour with a robust benefits package. LPN licensure and BLS certification are required, with education in Practical Nursing and no prior experience necessary.

Qualifications

• LPN licensed in the state where you practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required within 45 days unless exempted.
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams including vitals and documentation.
• Perform basic lab procedures using aseptic technique.
• Assist physicians with orthopedic procedures and minor surgeries.
• Administer medications under orders, may initiate IV therapy within limits.
• Maintain exam rooms and coordinate patient flow and referrals.
