ORION ORNAMENTAL IRON INC in Los Angeles, CA is looking for a Welder to interpret orders and weld ornamental iron parts, contributing to the final decorative look. The ideal candidate has hands-on welding experience and a keen eye for detail.

You will read drawings, select equipment, operate grinders and welding gear, and follow health and safety guidelines in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Welder/Cleaner/Cutter required.
• Proficient with welding equipment and related hand tools.
• Ability to read orders, schematics and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of health and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret orders, drawings, and schematics
• Cut tubes, wood and other iron parts. Deburring iron after welding.
• Interpret requirements to select the most appropriate welding equipment for the job
• Operate angle grinders, calipers, rulers, and other hand and power tools
• Use manual and semi-automatic welding equipment
• Work in safely manner for the job with proper PPE for the job.
