Job summary

ASRC Federal at Kennedy Space Center, FL seeks an ORION Spacecraft Technician Mechanical, Associate to support development and production efforts. The role requires a strong mechanical background with harness fabrication, testing and installation experience.

You will read schematics and blueprints, perform electrical or electro-mechanical assembly, and may handle modifications, rework and quality testing. An A&P license is preferred and US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with specialized technical training equivalent to an Associate degree.
• 0-2 years or more of experience in technical tasks or para-engineering roles.
• US Citizen required. A&P (Airframe & Power-plant) license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical background tasks including harness fabrication, testing and installation.
• Assemble from schematics, blueprints and oral instructions for developmental and production units.
• Use standard electronic assembly tools to build sub-assemblies and components.
• May perform modifications, rework and quality testing.

We are seeking a ORION Spacecraft Technician Mechanical, Associatein Kennedy Space Center, FL.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Strong mechanical background stemming from harness fabrication, testing, and installation.
• Performs a variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of specific production units, developmental or prototype requirements in product development, manufacturing engineering or preproduction operations where documentation and guidance may be limited.
• Works from schematics, blueprints and oral instructions to construct developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components.
• Uses standard electronic assembly tools and materials.
• May perform modifications, rework, and quality testing.
• A&P (Airframe & Power-plant) license

Requirements:

• High school diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks and 0-2 years or more of experience.
• Must be a US Citizen
