Job description

Company Overview

Blue Energy’s mission is to unlock energy abundance, energy affordability, energy security, and turn-key decarbonization by developing the fastest path to deploying new nuclear MWs at scale. We are utilizing shipyard manufacturing supply chains and techniques from offshore oil and wind to reduce the cost of nuclear plants by over 60% and the manufacturing timeline to 24 months. Blue Energy is a platform technology that makes use of the latest NRC-approved reactors and is in negotiations with existing nuclear and industrial sites, enabling a much faster regulatory pathway to deploy our first unit. With our innovative centralized shipyard manufacturing approach, we can put nuclear power on a cost-reduction learning curve akin to wind, solar, and lithium-ion batteries.

Role Summary

We’re seeking a highly motivated Origination Analyst with a strong interest in energy markets, power development, and the rapidly evolving nuclear sector. This is a growth role - ideal for someone eager to contribute to commercial strategy on day one and grow into a subject matter expert in power origination, deal structuring, and customer engagement.

You will support Blue Energy’s business development pipeline by researching markets and customers, engaging potential offtakers, building commercial materials, and helping shape the next generation of nuclear power deals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain our CRM system (HubSpot) and other tools to track leads, offtakers, and outreach campaigns.

  • Support the development and origination teams with financial and commercial deliverables.

  • Conduct market research and competitive intelligence across U.S. power markets (ISO dynamics, demand growth, decarbonization trends).

  • Assist in structuring and negotiating PPAs and related energy agreements; build fluency in commercial energy contracting.

  • Prepare, refine, and tailor pitch decks, proposals, and marketing materials for hyperscalers, data-center developers, industrials, and utilities.

  • Coordinate and attend industry conferences and customer meetings; represent Blue Energy professionally with external stakeholders.

  • Support targeted outreach to potential offtakers and partners in priority sectors (data centers, industrial load, utilities, governments).

  • Support RFP and RFI responses, ensuring tailored, data-driven submissions.

Qualifications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated interest in nuclear energy and evolving power markets.

  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools; ability to turn analysis into compelling commercial insights.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently engage with senior decision-makers, customers, and partners.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset- excited to join a small, high-growth company and wear multiple hats as the commercial team scales.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in energy markets, power development, project finance, consulting, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with PPA structures, capacity markets, bilateral energy transactions and transacting in vertically integrated models.

  • Experience conducting financial analysis, market modeling, or supporting commercial negotiations.

  • Understanding of RTO/ISO structures (ERCOT, PJM, MISO, CAISO, SPP, etc.) and U.S. energy regulatory frameworks.

  • Exposure to decarbonization, renewable procurement, or corporate sustainability initiatives (hyperscaler/data-center experience a plus).

We look forward to your application and helping foster an era of safe, clean, affordable, and abundant energy.

Blue Energy is dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. If you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t perfectly align with every requirement, we encourage you to apply anyway. You might be the right candidate for this or other roles at Blue Energy now or in the future.
