Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS) to support students in Philadelphia, PA. This full-time role focuses on empowering youth with visual impairments to navigate environments and gain independence.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited program, COMS certification (ACVREP or NBPCB/NOMC), and an active PA license prior to placement. Prior school-based experience is preferred. Travel opportunities and stipends may be available.

What We're Looking For:

• Graduate from an accredited program
• Valid Orientation & Mobility Specialist certification from ACVREP or a valid National Orientation & Mobility Certificate (NOMC)
  COMS issued by the National Blindness Professional Certification Board (NBPCB)
• Must hold a PA state license
• An Instructional Certificate or Educational Specialist Certificate must be obtained prior to placement
• Experience working with children and adolescents (school-based experience preferred)
