Job summary

Tulane University in New Orleans is seeking a Research Scientist I to lead the Patient Derived Organoid (PDO) Shared Resource within the Tulane Cancer Center. This role provides organoid culture, imaging, drug response studies, and translational research support; manages operations, SOPs, and training under Resource leadership.

You will work with mammalian cell cultures and organoid systems, maintain records, and help track usage in iLabs Core Facility.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree (Ph.D./M.D./D.V.M.) in a relevant field.
• Experience with patient-derived organoid cultures or advanced tissue culture.
• Experience with live/high-content imaging or drug-response assays.

Responsibilities

• Operate organoid culture, imaging, and drug response studies.
• Maintain day-to-day lab operations and SOPs.
• Train investigators and support Shared Resource workflows.
• Track utilization and support iLabs Core Facility Management.
• Maintain accurate lab records and documentation.
