About The Role – Organizational Psychologist (United States)

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Organizational Psychologist with the Orica North America team. The Organizational Psychologist will support the Senior Manager - Global Health in leading improvements in Health performance across Orica. Collaboration with other roles within the Global and Regional SHES (Safety, Health, Environment and Security) teams and operational resources will be an essential element of this position. We are open to this person sitting anywhere in the United States, working remote.

What you will be doing
  • Align all behaviors with Orica’s Charter Values, Purpose and Strategy.
  • Support compliance with global regulatory requirements related to Health.
  • Provide health subject matter expertise and support to SHES Specialists and Operational Leaders.
  • Experience with designing and implementing psychosocial risk management frameworks in large organizations.
  • Experience with risk assessment methodology for the management of health hazards.
  • Experience with designing and implementing robust fitness for work programs guidance and tools.
  • Design, develop and review Health Standards, Group Procedures, guidance material and training.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and contribute to the health assurance program.
  • Maintain a professional, proactive and constructive working relationship between the Regional Business and the regulators.
  • Maintain Health master data and analytics for Orica, including Health risk bowties, health material risks and health major hazards and key controls.
  • Monitoring of internal and external Health issues, trends and opportunities.
  • Any other activities deemed appropriate by Group or the Region.

What you will bring
  • Sound knowledge of health regulatory frameworks, SHES Management systems, SHE assurance and auditing frameworks and risk management.
  • Effective written skills.
  • Excellent demonstratable verbal skills (stakeholder influencing, engagement and consultation).
  • Ability to build trust and sustain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Solid character with very high standard of personal integrity, ethics and behavior.
  • Bachelor degree + in related health disciplines such as Organizational Psychology or similar.
  • Five years+ of Industry experience, manufacturing and/or mining industry experience.

Compensation
  • Full Time Salary
  • $97,800 - $136,920 USD
  • Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan

(Salary to be determined by the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
