Job summary

Garden State Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a full-time Laboratory Analyst in Hillside, New Jersey. The analyst will perform environmental sample testing using approved EPA, NJDEP and Standard Methods, with guidance from the Organics Manager.

Responsibilities include instrument calibration, log maintenance, QA/QC conformity, and safe work practices in a team environment. Preferred an associate's degree in science and Organic techniques lab experience; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred but not required.
• Laboratory experience in Organic techniques preferred.
• GSL provides training to new hires.

Responsibilities

• Maintain log(s) of all samples received for analysis.
• Ensure supplies for tests are stocked and current.
• Maintain and update logbooks for analytical procedures.
• Calibrate and ensure instruments are in good working order.
• Prepare and perform analyses using SOPs and holding times.
• Perform routine maintenance of instruments.
• Follow QA/QC practices.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per guidelines.
• Notify management of any conditions affecting analysis validity.
