Job summary

ExxonMobil's Houston Campus invites applications from a PhD-level chemist to join our organic/physical organic/materials chemistry program. You will design and synthesize molecular systems, and test hypotheses through comprehensive characterization and analysis.

You will work in multidisciplinary teams across strategic technology areas, contributing to cutting-edge research and collaboration with internal and external partners. Strong publication records and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or related field is required.
• Demonstrated expertise in molecular design and chemical synthesis.
• Strong understanding of reaction mechanisms.
• Experience establishing structure-property relationships experimentally.
• Knowledge of phase behavior and molecular interactions.
• Experience with NMR, GC, LC, MS and related methods.
• Excellent written and oral communication; able to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven record of publications or patents.
