Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks an Organ Transplant Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to assist, monitor, and manage day-to-day patient needs under physician supervision, in accordance with standard medical practice.

The position features a Day/Night hybrid shift with weekends and holidays as needed. NJ license, prescriptive authority, and prior transplant or surgical specialty experience are preferred. Join a leading health system delivering advanced transplant care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
• Experience in a relevant patient care setting; NPI and prescriptive authority.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical services under supervision of a licensed physician.
• Perform history and physical assessments appropriate for patient age and condition.
• Order, perform, and interpret labs and diagnostics.
• Prescribe medications in line with policy and NJ regulations.
• Engage in evidence-based practice and care improvement activities.
