Job summary

New England Donor Services is seeking an Organ Surgical Recovery Coordinator to assist surgeons in organ recovery and facilitate organ preservation using advanced mechanical devices. This full-time position includes a demanding on-call schedule, allowing you to contribute to life-saving initiatives.

Qualified candidates should have an Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience, expertise in medical terminology and clinical settings, and must be comfortable with long hours, including overnights, holidays, and weekends. Great benefits and career opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Medical terminology and clinical experience in a medical/healthcare field is required.
• Aseptic technique is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and travel on a small aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons in organ recovery and preservation.
• Independently perform recovery of corneas and heart valves.
• Organize transportation and communicate with HEDs and hospital staff.
