Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with biology/pre-med/nursing/allied health courses or allied health work experience, required.
Three to five years prior clinical experience in organ procurement and/or transplantation, preferred.
Responsibilities
Coordinates multiple levels of the allocation of organs for transplant or research according to established policies.
Responsible for ensuring timely continuation of the allocation process and maintains logistical oversight of organs.
Relays accurate donor medical information to transplant surgeons to facilitate organ placement.
Facilitates transportation and laboratory notification for blood and tissue samples sent for donor testing.
