A leading technology company is seeking a MATLAB Student Ambassador to promote MATLAB and Simulink on campus. The role is part-time and allows for a hybrid work model, where you’ll engage with student organizations and plan events to increase awareness of MathWorks resources. Ideal candidates are pursuing a technical degree, have strong interpersonal skills, and are active on social media. This position is a paid opportunity for undergraduate or graduate students in good academic standing.

Responsibilities

  • Explore and implement creative ideas for spreading awareness for the MathWorks brand and products.
  • Identify and engage with prominent student organizations related to Engineering, Math, Science, and Finance.
  • Plan and organize events on campus to demonstrate MATLAB and Simulink.
  • Promote MathWorks presence at career fairs, information sessions and recruiting events.
  • Use social media and university channels to spread awareness of MathWorks challenges and learning resources.

Job description

Overview

MathWorks has a hybrid work model that enables staff members to split their time between office and home. The MATLAB Student Ambassador position requires a commitment of 5 hours per week. The MATLAB Student Ambassador position is a paid position.

Responsibilities
  • Explore and implement creative ideas for spreading awareness for the MathWorks brand and products among students
  • Identify and engage with prominent student organizations related to Engineering, Math, Science and Finance
  • Plan and organize events on campus to demonstrate the state of the art with MATLAB and Simulink
  • Use social media outlets and prevalent communication channels at the university to spread awareness for MathWorks Student Challenges and resources available to learn MATLAB and Simulink
  • Promote MathWorks presence at university career fairs, information sessions and other recruiting events

Minimum Qualifications
  • Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor\u2019s level degree in a technical discipline.
  • Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
  • Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without restriction.
Additional Qualifications
  • Proficient in MATLAB, familiarity with Simulink a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, blogging, etc.)
  • Undergraduate or Graduate student in good academic standing with at least 2 semesters remaining in the degree program (preferably in Engineering)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously
  • Legal authorization to work in the US
