Job summary

Slayden Constructors Inc SCI, a wholly owned subsidiary of MWH Constructors Inc, seeks a Construction Focused Intern to support Oregon and Washington projects. Roles may include Project Engineer, Field Engineer, VDC Engineer, Safety, Estimating, and Construction Finance.

Essential duties include assisting with project controls, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and drawing updates while gaining exposure to multiple civil construction disciplines.

Qualifications

• In progress toward earning a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Interest in a career in heavy construction and related disciplines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal abilities for diverse teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project controls, change orders, RFIs and other construction administration duties.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules with information from subcontractors.
• Assist in generation of reports such as submittal and RFI logs and with document control.
• Process Submittals and RFIs.
• Update working drawings with RFIs and changes; keep sets up to date with current information.
• Perform simple calculations and provide technical support for construction efforts.

Basic Qualifications
